You're getting ready to
start your day when you notice that a pimple, or even several pimples, have
sprung up overnight. Or maybe skin problems are a common occurrence. Either
way, you're bummed. But there are products available to clear breakouts quickly
and keep your skin clear. We can also help with professional treatments for
stubborn cases or to clear your skin before a special occasion.
At Home Treatments
The main strategy for keeping your skin clear is keeping it clean. For daily
care, wash with gentle soap or cleanser suited for your type of skin - dry,
oily or normal, and warm, not hot water. Gently apply cleanser with your
fingers, rinse, and then finish with moisturizer. Repeat the same routine to
remove makeup before going to bed.
Exfoliate once or twice per week with a scrub or skin polishing instrument, but
use a light touch. Consider skipping the polishing instrument for sensitive or
dry skin. Salicylic and glycolic acids fade dark spots, while benzyl peroxide
kills acne-causing bacteria.
Resist the temptation to squeeze pimples or blackheads. You can permanently
scar your skin or cause blocked pores to become infected if you aren't careful.
Home extraction tools aren't recommended either - leave pimple extraction to
us.
Professional Spa Treatments
Although the most stubborn breakouts are best treated by a dermatologist, as
skin care specialists, we have treatments at our disposal that may not be
available to you. For instance, we can clear blocked pores with professional
microdermabrasion, or administer chemical peels that are stronger than what you
can obtain over the counter. We can also perform comedo extractions, which is a
fancy way of saying we can get rid of that ugly pimple on your face without
damaging your skin.
Whatever your skin problem, your regular care and our help as needed can get
your skin clear and keep your skin clear. If problems do occur, they are more
likely to be minor. In time, skin problems may become a distant memory.
